These men are able to gain the promise of fraternity life—friendship, valuable leadership skills, and a positive self-esteem without the hostility and hatred often present toward gay and bisexual men in a traditional fraternity. Going to college for many is seen as very challenging and fearful, but for me, it was a great escape. Coming from a small rural town in North Carolina and being gay came with more challenges than one could assume. Moving to college was an adventure that was the beginning of finding people like myself, those who only saw people for who they are rather than their identity.
We’ve got a couple gay guys in our chapter. And tbh, gay frat members are FaF. They bring hella girls to the parties and set up the guys with 10/10s for formals and date parties. Idk how it is in Arkansas but if the guys there know what’s good for them, having a gay guy in the chapter is so clutch. The problem is, as indicated on the title of this thread, I am not particularly…fond of women in a way that heterosexuals are. So, just to give more information as to what I should do, I will tell you a little bit about myself and the reasons of why I want to join. For instance, I absolutely adore shopping and I love going to the salon.
